WHEN
OUT AND ABOUT-
- Go
with friends or family.
- Carry
your purse or personal belongings close
to your body.
- Do not
carry credit cards or any large amounts
of cash.
- Whenever
in a car, always keep the doors locked.
- Sit
near the driver while riding any sort of
public transit.
- If you
begin to feel uneasy in any situation,
leave it immediately.
MAKE
YOUR HOME SAFE-
- Install
good locks.
- Don't
hide keys outside of your home. Leave
with a trusted neighbor instead.
- Be
sure to keep your street number in clear
sight for emergency personnel.
- Consider
a home alarm system if deemed neccessary.
CON
ARTISTS-
- Never
fall for anything that seems too good to
be true.
- Never
give your credit card, phone card, SS #,
or bank account number to anyone over the
phone.
- Never
feel rushed into signing anything.
- If you
feel suspicious about a possible con
artist, check with the Better Business
Bureau for confirmation that everything
is legit.
